Today I am sharing Cristina and Gonzalo’s engagement session in Costa Rica. We spent one of those afternoons that make this work so special: wonderful company, plenty of laughter and the opportunity to discover corners of the country I had never seen before.

They chose a mountainous area of Heredia for their session, a peaceful place surrounded by nature and spectacular views. The beautiful sunset gave us the perfect setting.

And what can I tell you about them? I think the photographs speak for themselves.

Cristina has a contagious sense of joy, a wonderful smile and a way of making everything feel effortless. Gonzalo was a little quieter and more reserved at the beginning, which is completely natural when someone steps in front of a camera. But as soon as he began to feel comfortable and stopped thinking about the photographs, his playful personality came through.

I truly enjoyed this engagement session in Costa Rica. When a couple arrives ready to have fun, trust the process and simply enjoy being together, everything begins to flow naturally.

Couples often tell me that they are worried about not being photogenic or not knowing how to pose. My answer is always the same: you do not need to know how to pose. With the right attitude, trust and a willingness to enjoy the experience, the camera will capture what really matters: the way you look at each other, laugh together and simply feel at ease in one another’s company.

This other engagement session in Costa Rica is a perfect example. The couple felt a little nervous at first, but as soon as they forgot about the camera and allowed themselves to enjoy the morning, everything began to happen spontaneously.
