Bárbara and Pedro’s wedding in Tambor was an unforgettable celebration beside the sea. From the moment I met them, they seemed kind, approachable and incredibly attentive. Their way of treating everyone around them made us all feel part of something very special.
The wedding took place near Tambor in the province of Puntarenas. They chose a beautiful beachfront house with access to an almost private stretch of sand. The ocean, surrounding greenery and peaceful atmosphere created an intimate and completely natural setting.
However, the most remarkable detail was the number of people who travelled to join them. Their family and friends arrived from 17 different countries. Together, they transformed the wedding into an international gathering and an incredible party.
Joy filled the day from the beginning. Guests shared embraces, conversations and long-awaited reunions while Bárbara and Pedro tried to enjoy everything they had spent so much time preparing.
A wedding in Tambor shaped by rain and happiness
The sky threatened rain for much of the day. Bárbara watched the clouds with understandable concern, while I continued insisting that it would not rain. Nature, however, had other plans.
It was the first time rain had interrupted a wedding I was photographing. Fortunately, it lasted for only five minutes during the ceremony. Later, it returned for another five minutes during the party.
Those brief tropical showers did not disrupt the celebration. The rain stopped quickly and everything continued as planned. In fact, it became another memorable part of a day filled with unexpected moments.
Once the clouds disappeared, the light, music and desire to celebrate immediately returned. The atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming that I ended up enjoying myself like another guest.
A wedding designed by Bárbara and Pedro
Bárbara and Pedro prepared the entire wedding themselves. Moreover, they designed and created all the decorations with enormous care and enthusiasm.
Every detail reflected their personalities and the story they wanted to share with their guests. The result was a personal and authentic celebration without unnecessary traditions or rigid protocols.
There was emotion, rain, laughter and more than one unexpected moment. Above everything else, however, there was fun. That happiness is precisely what the photographs from this wedding in Tambor reveal.
I hope you enjoy this small selection of everything we experienced that day.
