Wedding in Segovia: Blanca and Javier
During that summer, I was fortunate enough to share some very special days with wonderful couples. One of those stories was Blanca and Javier’s wedding in Segovia, an emotional celebration in a city filled with history and remarkable surroundings.
I had already photographed the couple during their engagement session in Segovia. We created those photographs in July and, as a result, had the opportunity to know each other better before the wedding.
An engagement session allows a couple to become comfortable in front of the camera and understand how I work. Moreover, it helps create the trust needed for everything to unfold naturally when the wedding day arrives.
When the day finally came, Blanca and Javier could concentrate on experiencing every moment. My intention was to accompany them discreetly and document everything around them without interrupting the natural rhythm of the celebration.
Ceremony at the Sanctuary of La Fuencisla
The ceremony took place at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Fuencisla, one of Segovia’s most emblematic places.
The architecture of the sanctuary and its surroundings created a setting filled with character. However, it was the emotion shared by Blanca, Javier and their loved ones that gave true meaning to every photograph.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued with their family and friends. The formalities gradually gave way to conversations, embraces and the spontaneous moments that ultimately shape the memory of a wedding.
Segovia also played an important role within the story. Its stone streets, historic character and distinctive atmosphere gave the photographs their own visual identity. Nevertheless, my attention remained focused on the people and everything that happened unexpectedly.
This is a small selection from their wedding in Segovia. I hope these photographs allow you to return to that day and remember not only how everything looked, but also how it felt.
Thank you so much, Blanca and Javier, for your trust.
A warm embrace to you both!
