Daniela and Pablo celebrated an unforgettable Hacienda Pinilla wedding on 17 December, surrounded by nature and the people who mattered most. Long before that day, however, their story had already been shaped by travel, rescued dogs, burgers and years of shared memories.
In their own words, this is how they describe each other and the journey that brought them to their wedding in Costa Rica.
Pablo describes Daniela as a free-spirited and independent woman with a constant desire to explore the world. He also admires her kindness, compassion and determination to be different, regardless of what other people may think. From the moment they met, he was captivated by her unique approach to life.
Her two great passions are travelling and rescuing dogs. In fact, she has so much love to give them that Pablo sometimes jokes about feeling a little jealous. Moreover, she is intuitive, friendly and able to connect with people from very different backgrounds. To him, Daniela is, above all, his best friend.
Daniela, meanwhile, describes Pablo as quiet and serious. He is a software engineer and young entrepreneur with a talent for critical thinking and problem-solving. Behind his reserved nature, however, is a kind, affectionate and warm-hearted person.
She particularly admires his tolerance, patience and perseverance. Those qualities have played an essential role in their relationship and inspire her to become a better person every day. She is also convinced that Pablo loves her as much as he loves pizza and burgers. That is certainly saying something.
They first met briefly and by chance in their university food court, around October 2012. Afterwards, Pablo sent her a friend request on Facebook and they chatted for several weeks. Eventually, they decided to meet.
From their first date to a Hacienda Pinilla wedding
Their first official date was at Applebee’s. Naturally, they ordered burgers and fries. That first meeting was both curious and revealing: he was quiet and slightly sceptical, while she was lively and wonderfully talkative.
Fortunately, the dynamic changed after a few dates. Pablo continued asking her out, again and again. Gradually, they began spending more time with their friends and families. Finally, they made their relationship official on 4 January 2013.
Three years later, the proposal arrived. It happened on 7 February 2016 during a trip to Panama City. After dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel—their favourite place, with another burger involved—Pablo finally asked her to marry him.
The wedding took place on 17 December at Hacienda Pinilla in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This beautiful setting combines the character of a traditional hacienda with tropical nature and the nearby Pacific Ocean. Therefore, it provided a wonderful backdrop for such a personal celebration.
Daniela and Pablo designed and decorated every detail of their wedding themselves. This must have involved an enormous amount of work. Even so, the result was absolutely incredible and reflected their personalities perfectly.
This Hacienda Pinilla wedding was much more than a beautiful celebration. It marked the next chapter of a journey that began almost by chance at university. Then came their conversations, first dates, travels and the life they have built together.
Thank you, Daniela and Pablo, for allowing us to be part of your story. So much love to you both!
