"It was August 22, 2008 when I arrived in Costa Rica for the first time and searched for my name in the airport.
I didn’t know the person that was holding the sign would be my future husband. I found my name and that’s how our destiny began. On December 31, 2008 after the countdown he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend and I knew I wasn’t going to stay just one semester there.
I spent 2 years by his side in Costa Rica but unfortunately I had to come back to the U.S. to finish my degree. I felt a hole in my heart being away from him and he must have felt the same because after 6 months he was with me again. On December 31, 2010 after the countdown he asked me if I would marry him and I said yes!
The wedding
We married May 6, 2011 with my aunt as a witness in Las Vegas, Nevada. She had a reception for us at her house with some friends where we ate lasagna and a cake she had made us.
Everything was perfect except for the fact Joses’s family and some important people in our lives couldn’t be there. At that time, we didn’t have the money for a big wedding but I wanted to be able to share our love with everyone someday.
Finally we decided to do it and what better day than December 31st? In Heredia, Costa Rica on December 31st, 2015 Jose waited at the end of the aisle with the sign that said my name to represent the moment in which we first met and I married the man of my dreams for a second time!
This time with ALL of our loved ones present! It was a special day for us and we had a blast. The memories we made will stay with us forever.

Amor que cruza fronteras
"Fue el 22 de Agosto de 2008 cuando llegué a Costa Rica por primera vez y buscaba mi nombre en el aeropuerto.
Yo no sabía que la persona que sostenía el rotulo iba a ser mi futuro esposo. Encontré mi nombre y asi empezó nuestro destino. El 31 de diciembre de 2008 después de la cuenta regresiva me preguntó si yo quería ser su novia y yo sabia que no iba a pasar un solo semestre ahí.
Pase 2 años junto a él en Costa Rica pero desafortunadamente tuve que volver a los estados unidos para terminar mis estudios. Sentí un hueco en mi corazón al estar lejos de él y me imagino que él se sentía igual porque después de 6 meses él estuvo conmigo de nuevo. El 31 de diciembre de 2010 después de la cuenta regresiva me preguntó si yo quería casarme con él y dije que si!
La boda
Nos casamos el 6 de mayo de 2011 en Las Vegas, Nevada con mi tía como testigo.
Ella tuvo una fiesta para nosotros en su casa donde comimos lasaña y un queque que nos hizo. Todo fue perfecto menos el hecho de que la familia de Jose y unas personas muy importantes en nuestras vidas no pudieron estar presente.
En ese momento no teníamos el dinero para tener una boda grande pero yo quería poder compartir nuestro amor con todos los que amamos algún día.
Finalmente decidimos hacerlo y que mejor día que el 31 de diciembre?? En Heredia, Costa Rica el 31 de diciembre de 2015 Jose esperó al final del pasillo en la iglesia con el rotulo que decía mi nombre para representar el momento en el que nos conocimos y me casé con el hombre de mis sueños por segunda vez!
Esta vez con TODOS nuestros seres queridos presentes! Fue una fecha especial para nosotros y disfrutamos un montón. Los momentos que vivimos quedarán con nosotros siempre.
